The Hawaiian Sovereignty Movement was decided and agreed amongst our group. Each one of us has a sort of connection and interest in Hawaii. Some of us have Hawaiian Ancestry which in a way connects us towards the movement and some of us are just supporters of the movement. Our purpose is to inform everyone in Hawaii, even the keiki's. Some school education does not go briefly into detail about what happened in 1893, so we decided to take the liberty and did so using a easy navigated and accessed website. A big part of this website is to show how Music intertwines and effects the movement. Without the Music, there is no movement. The 20th century is all about technology. For example, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc… As mentioned above, it starts with the keiki and in this generation, not much of them watch the news or read daily newspapers. Instead they log onto Instagram or any type of social media. It takes one picture, one song or/and one video to catch their eye. Without Music being put into social media, the movement would not exist, at least not in large numbers. We include different sorts of music, events and latest news using very eye catching videos and pictures. We believe that by informing the people of Hawaii and the people of the world, Hawaii will gain back what they rightfully own.
